Aletter on June 2 in defense of the television news reporters Brian Williams and Ashleigh Banfield, in response to an article on May 19 about network news in which Williams and Banfield were criticized by Roger Ailes of Fox News, misidentified the airline involved in a plane crash covered by Banfield for MSNBC and misstated the location. It was American Airlines, not United, and the crash was in Queens, not in suburban Long Island.
