INTERNATIONAL A3-11 More China Protests Over Embassy Bombing American diplomats said they felt like hostages in their offices as tens of thousands of furious demonstrators marched to protest NATO's bombing of the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade and pelted American Embassy buildings in Beijing with eggs, stones, paint balloons and chunks of concrete. Protests also occurred in other cities over the weekend, including Shanghai and Chengdu, where the American Consul General's home was set on fire. A1 Satellite-guided bombs from a B-2 bomber struck the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade on Friday night because C.I.A. analysts used outdated maps, and military databases designed to catch such mistakes had the wrong address for the embassy, American officials said.
